This one’s tricky. As mentioned previously, I’m required to take a total of eight images of different places/spaces. Four of the images will be interior spaces and the other four will be of exterior spaces. I’m pretty sure I’m set with the exterior images, it’ll just be finding the time to take them with my currently hectic schedule, but the interiors is proving to be a bit more difficult. Not knowing the area very well and not having many local connections makes picking places to shoot inside of a little tricky. However I do have one image out of the four done. I went to Beerwolf and managed to snag a great shot of their book shop area, getting the shelve lines to match nicely. It took a bit of time, as I’d forgotten my tripod and didn’t want to take loads of pictures but rather focused on getting a few good ones instead, which ended up paying off.
Here is my first image of my interiors set of the Portrait Element project part one: light and space:
I’m planning on having a good brainstorm about what to photograph for the next three interiors, and if I can’t come up with any local ideas then I have many for locations in Kent. I’m planning a trip back soon and am looking forward to putting my new skills into practice in some truly spectacular places that I know and really want to photograph.
